Many cruise lines have extensive programs and special activities for every age group, from toddler to teen. This gives youngsters a chance to experience the cruise with kids their own age while mom and dad enjoy some adults-only time together. Naturally, many of the traditional pleasures of a cruise, such as shore excursions, onboard ship activities, and dinners, can be shared by the whole family together. Won't I get bored on a cruise?

Will I feel claustrophobic on the ship?

Most people are so busy exploring the ship and different ports of call, they spend very little time in their stateroom. If you need more room, choose a cabin with a balcony or upgrade to a mini-suite or suite. You may also want to cruise on one of the larger ships such as the Grand Princess or Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. You definitely won't feel confined! You might want to consider a shorter cruise for your first time such as a three or a four day Caribbean cruise. Another option is an itinerary with many ports of call. This lets you discover new places and get off the ship for the day.

When Cruising, be sure to think ahead. Yes, you can get good prices last minute, but many times the airfare will eat up your cruise discount. Book out 12-18 months in advance. Travel to resorts sure seem to be getting better. The new Norwegian Breakaway is going to be such a great new ship. They have really answered a lot of the cruiser requests, including single "freestyle" cruising.
Individual stateroom accommodations. Finally only one needs to travel in a stateroom, plus the single passenger stateroom is part of a wing with private meeting and bar area. It also addressed the needs for families and an excellent pool area. Plus, for those who like to travel in a more elite secluded manor, the Breakaway has a private suites and pool area for them. this ship is designed for everyone. This is a must check out ship, and of course I will be sailing on her within the first year out.
